How Will the Next Mayor of Boston Address Homelessness?
Wednesday, July 28, 2:30 - 4pm

Join us this Wednesday, as Pine Street Inn and the Boston Coalition for Homeless Individuals host a virtual forum with the candidates for Boston mayor, focused on homelessness and housing. All five candidates: John Barros, Andrea Campbell, Annissa Essaibi-George, Kim Janey, and Michelle Wu, will be joining with moderator Marcela Garcia, Op-ed Columnist and Editorial Member of The Boston Globe. The event will provide candidates an opportunity to present their platforms and to answer questions directly from those experiencing homelessness.

iCater Celebrates 7 Million Meals

Pine Street Inn established iCater in 2000 as a social enterprise preparing ready-to-serve meals for community organizations.

Each meal sold supports the iCater workforce development program, which provides individuals transitioning out of homelessness with culinary training, life skills development and job placement.

Today, this self-sustaining enterprise brings in close to $2.5 million in revenue annually, and many of the program's graduates go on to successful careers in food services and hospitality.

The longest-standing Pine Street employee, Ralph started as a volunteer at the original Pine Street in Chinatown in 1976. Over the years, he has evolved with the organization, taking on a variety of roles including Counselor, Director of Housing, Director of Property Management, and has even served as interim Executive Director.

We thank Ralph for his many years of dedication and wish him the best!
