Geoffrey's Story

Each year, Pine Street Inn supports over 340 veterans through various programs, including specialized veterans housing.

Geoffrey S., a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, has come a long way since his time living on the streets. While he had been homeless off and on for several years, Geoffrey is in supportive housing now and is a trainee in Pine Street’s iCater food services training program.

Large Scale Housing is the Key

Lyndia Downie on GBH: “Opposition to supportive housing is mostly based in fear”

Pine Street Inn’s President and Executive Director Lyndia Downie recently joined Margery Eagan and Jim Braude on Boston Public Radio to discuss the need for more supportive housing in Boston. In 2023, Pine Street Inn plans to open 251 new units of housing with more on the way.
