Mark Koch's Pine Street Inn Winter Gear Fundraiser
Friends and Family,
As a member of the Innbassadors for Pine Street Inn, I am an advocate for an organization that works towards ending homelessness permanently in our community and across the country. However, many of the services the Pine Street Inn offers to our community are direct aid to those who currently find themselves without a home.
Part of my role as an Innbassador is regularly volunteering at the Pine Street Inn. Another element is engaging people who are looking for ways to give back. Some can give their time, and see first hand how many people the Pine Street Inn is able to help. Others are able to make a small contibution to an organization they can trust.
Today, that means I'm asking for your support to help reach those most in need at a very personal level: providing warmth during the winter months. With our group's donations Pine Street is able to buy winter hats, gloves, scarfs, and heavy duty sweatshirts for hundreds of guests. Fellow Innbassadors will wrap these care packages to be delivered as a tangible holiday gift for every guest at the shelter.
Working with the homeless community has been some of the most rewarding work of my life, and I truly thank those of you who have been able to join me supporting those who need help the most.
About Pine Street Inn
Founded in 1969, Pine Street Inn serves more than 11,000 homeless individuals each year, providing the full spectrum of services to help men and women reach their highest level of independence and get back to a place they can call home.
Pine Street Inn serves more than 1,600 people every day, including 800 formerly homeless individuals who live in and receive support services through Pine Street’s permanent housing. This would not be possible without the commitment of our generous donors.
