Warm Up the Holidays - A Simple Way to Help
As a member of the Innbassadors for Pine Street Inn, I am an advocate for an organization that works towards ending homelessness permanently in our community and across the country. Pine Street Inn is the largest shelter in New England and provides an incredible number of services to our community, including housing for hundreds and 17,000 meals a WEEK for those in need. I've joined the Innbassadors to be more involved in a cause that means so much to me.
Today, I'm asking for your support to reach those in need at a very personal level: providing warmth during the winter months with a very simple donation.
How You Can Help
The Warm Up The Holidays fundraiser provides EVERY guest at the Pine Street Inn with the gift of practical winter clothing during the holidays: a sweatshirt, hat and gloves for men; or a scarf, hat and gloves for women.
Just $20 provides a practical gift for a woman or man in need. The gift is not just physical warmth; chances are, these will be the only gifts these men and women receive this year.
A Critical Need
This year, the need is greater than ever. With recent budget cuts at the shelter, the Innbassadors must raise every cent of the $25,000 it takes to cover the cost of these winter clothing essentials.
Will You Help?
Please help bring warmth and joy during the coldest days of the year. Your donation of $20, $40, $100 or more -- whatever you are able to give -- will meet a critical need for the most vulnerable members of our community. Thank you so much for your support. Happy Holidays!
